Our Vision
Equal opportunities to contribute
To create an inclusive society where artists with disabilities have equal opportunities to learn, create, perform, lead and contribute meaningfully to India’s cultural landscape.
About Us
Anhad Arts Foundation began with a question: What if artists with disabilities were recognised not for their disability, but for their art?
Our Journey
Anhad has grown from the journey of Anhad Band into a broader disability-led arts institution. The Foundation creates opportunities where artists with disabilities can learn, collaborate, perform and build sustainable careers in the creative sector.
Our work has expanded beyond performances to include immersive experiences, artistic collaborations, community engagement, artist development and institutional partnerships.
Our Vision
To create an inclusive society where artists with disabilities have equal opportunities to learn, create, perform, lead and contribute meaningfully to India’s cultural landscape.
Our Mission
To build an inclusive artistic ecosystem where artists with disabilities are empowered through accessible programmes, professional development, artistic collaborations and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
What We Believe
Every artist deserves to work in spaces that are accessible, welcoming and designed with dignity at their core.
Music and the arts can connect people beyond assumptions, labels and limitations.
True inclusion is built through accessible infrastructure, equal opportunities and meaningful participation, not sympathy.
Artists, volunteers, partners and supporters each play an essential role in building a more inclusive cultural ecosystem.
What We Do
Creating performances that celebrate artistic excellence while encouraging audiences to experience disability through participation rather than perception.
Supporting artists through rehearsals, mentorship, workshops, collaborations and professional opportunities.
Working with educational institutions, corporate partners, cultural organisations and communities to promote accessibility through arts and culture.
Developing accessible spaces, sustainable programmes and long-term partnerships that create lasting opportunities for artists with disabilities.
We do not simply organise performances. We build opportunities.
Our Journey
For years, Anhad’s work continued through borrowed rehearsal rooms, temporary meeting spaces and shared venues. As the work grew, the need for a permanent, accessible base became clear.
The Programme & Operations Space, inaugurated on 16 July 2026, is more than an office. It is a rehearsal room, meeting place, planning space, learning environment and creative home where ideas can become programmes and collaborations can grow.
